Loyalty Discounts is a unique privilege offered to our loyal customers in appreciation of their continuous support. If you have been holding our HSBC credit card for two years or more, the gifts you redeem in 2008 will be entitled to a redemption discount. The longer you have been our cardholder, the greater the redemption discount you will enjoy:

Note: Effective 1 January 2008, the maximum number of Reward points on which the "Loyalty Discounts" can be applied by each Cardholder in any one year (i.e.from 1 January to 31 December) will be increased to 200,000 points (100,000 points in 2007), based on the amount of original Reward points required for redeeming the item(s) before the Loyalty Discounts is applied.

To enjoy the discount, cardholder must specify on the redemption form the items he/she wishes to redeem with the discount. If the discount cannot be applied to an entire redemption order due to the 200,000 Reward points annual cap being exceeded, the discount will be applied to the cardholder's selected item(s) according to the selection sequence, and may only be applicable to a portion of the Reward points required for a relevant item.

The discount is not applicable to redeeming Cash Rewards, Octopus Rewards, mileage, credit card annual fee waiver, mileage programme fee waiver and special redemption offers (as and when available), and cannot be used in conjunction with any other Promotional offer or discount (unless specified). The discount is only applicable to the Reward points portion of items requiring 'points plus cash'.
