Commercial Banking (CMB) is one of HSBC's key growth drivers. To operate effectively in this increasingly competitive environment, our business requires a stronger emphasis on segmentation, customer-driven propositions, strengthened sales and marketing capabilities and robust strategy development and implementation. We are now seeking an innovative and strategic minded individual to assume a pivotal role in driving CMB growth in these areas.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Manager, Customer Analytics, you will drive the development of knowledge-based management, application of customer relationship management capabilities to enable the delivery of multi-product and multi-channel propositions in a seamless, effective and efficient manner in both Hong Kong (AMH) and Asia-Pacific (ASP). Specifically, you will:

  • Conceptualise and drive the segmentation strategies by developing robust segmentation models with subsequent enhancements to direct the AMH and ASP CMB business focus
  • Design a segment monitoring mechanism to track customer and segment profiles, performance and market movements
  • Drive customer, product and channel analytics to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Formulate and drive customer targeting and retention strategies
  • Lead the analytics development for various regional countries together with the country's planning units
  • Direct and establish market research or external data acquisition and design methodology to develop customer knowledge
  • Develop skills of the team to guide planning functions in the implementation and application of segmentation and knowledge management

Requirements

  • University degree in quantitative, numerical science or related discipline, with at least 12 years' experience in marketing, credit risk management, segmentation or product development in a financial or service corporation
  • Expert knowledge of SAS with excellent analytical skills and extensive exposure to database marketing
  • Proven managerial ability with strong business acumen and experience in working with senior management on strategic development
  • Able to think 'outside the box' and clearly communicate complex concepts
  • Highly achievement-driven with strong leadership, influencing and relationship management skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of other regional language skill(s) is an advantage
