Credit Operations, Commercial Banking


Credit Operations provides support services to the credit divisions of Commercial Banking as well as Global Banking and Markets. We now invite applications from suitable candidates to join us as Team Leader Guarantees.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Handle instructions from customers on guarantees issuance and clarify with them on guarantee terms and wordings
  • Draft and review wording of non-standard guarantees to ensure that they are reasonable and align with credit guidelines
  • Check guarantees to ensure accuracy and prepare them for signing and amendments whenever necessary
  • Ensure customers guarantees limits are loaded correctly into the system and all relevant documents are received
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure all guarantees issued are in order and completed within the turnaround time as set in the Service Level Agreement
  • Supervise team operations as well as coach and develop subordinates
  • Handle enquiries from internal and external customers effectively
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and system enhancements
  • Perform administrative duties as required

Requirements

  • At least 7 to 10 years' general banking experience preferably with knowledge in corporate facilities and guarantees
  • Experience in bank operating system and knowledge of legal terminology and concepts will be an advantage
  • Good customer services and interpersonal skills
  • A team player who is self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
