The Business Analysis and Transformation Department (BTF) within Asia-Pacific Commercial Banking (ASP CMB) is responsible for improving CMB's business reporting, operational efficiency, project management activity, IT support management and providing a co-ordinated interface with other business units within the Group.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a change-oriented manager in the Project Management Office in BTF to drive the Technology and Process pillar under Group Chief Executive Officer's strategy and to improve customer experience by driving straight through processing (STP) initiatives and the re-engineering of key processes.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Manager, Business Project Management, you will :

  • Develop the STP and the Process re-engineering strategy and roadmap for CMB in HK and ASP region to deliver a significant improvement in customer experience and sales capabilities
  • Drive the implementation of STP roadmap and ensure that the projected Return on Investment is delivered
  • Coordinate and track all STP focused initiatives to achieve the increased STP for all key processes particularly for direct (Internet/Call Centre) sales and transaction processes
  • Work closely with other CMB teams to identify and drive customer experience enhancements on a continuous basis
  • Coordinate all process cost management initiatives by tracking and driving down the identified key levers for these costs
  • Assist and drive CMB teams in selected ASP sites to implement similar STP and process re-engineering initiatives

Requirements

  • University degree with at least seven years' financial services experience, preferably with five years in a managerial role in commercial banking, operations or project management
  • Sound knowledge of Commercial Banking customers and products
  • Experience in markets across Asia is preferable
  • Six Sigma experience will be an advantage
  • A strong team leader with analytical and creative abilities to generate solutions
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills with the flexibility in a dynamic and fast-moving market
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
