Trade and Supply Chain Asia-Pacific


HSBC's Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a Global Product group comprising of Payments and Cash Management, Trade and Supply Chain (TSC) and HSBC Securities Services. GTB provides product management, client services and specialised sales expertise around the globe for the Group's transactionally focused propositions targeted at Commercial Banking (CMB) and Global Banking and Markets' clients. These are:

  • Corporate cash management (Payables, Receivables and Liquidity Management)
  • Payments and clearing
  • Trade and Supply Chain (TSC)
  • HSBC Securities Services
  • Wholesale distribution of Banknotes

GTB reports to the Group Chief Operating Officer and works closely alongside CMB and Global Banking and Markets businesses and leadership. The revenues and costs for the business are reported in both the CMB and Global Banking and Markets Customer Groups. The GTB products share similar characteristics, e.g. high transaction volumes and process intensive, with generally short term, self-liquidating credit risk.

Key Responsibilities


Reporting to the Head of Market Development, you will:

  • Develop and oversee a full suite of updated regional marketing collaterals including trade advertisements, campaigns and brochures
  • Provide regional countries with practical sales tools to assist them in their daily development activities and communications with customers
  • Design and implement innovative sales campaigns in line with business needs to boost local efforts in acquiring new-to-trade customers and expanding trade customers' wallet share
  • Optimise the regional TSC marketing budget to match our business strategy, and ensure that marketing activities are coordinated effectively by developing a well thought out plan
  • Work closely with our marketing and branding teams to ensure that the HSBC brand is leveraged effectively and any materials produced reflect the Group's values
  • Ensure that external advertising is aligned with the overall Group branding guidelines and that internal communications promote best practices and sharing of ideas

Requirements

  • University graduate with 5 to 10 years' marketing experience, preferably in financial services
  • Solid exposure in event management, ideally combined with product marketing
  • Strong personal drive with creative and analytical thinking
  • Strong leadership and motivation skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
