ASSISTANT e-SALES MANAGER

HSBC's Channels Sales Team drives the development of channels to meet the aggressive business growth of the commercial banking (CMB) customer group. The main challenge for the team is to manage the development of a range of delivery channel capabilities in Hong Kong and across Asia-Pacific (ASP) region with the aims of acquiring new customers, generating revenues and improving customer service while reducing costs of delivery.

Key Responsibilities


The job holder will assist e-Sales Manager to drive the sales of banking products to CMB customers through Internet and other direct channels, including call centre in Hong Kong and ASP. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Work together with e-Sales Manager to develop new online sales propositions by working closely with CMB product, proposition and marketing teams in Hong Kong and ASP
  • Implement online sales initiatives by working with product teams to identify user requirements and liaising with IT for implementation
  • Use 2G website tools, such as WAB, SCM, Webtrend to develop and implement e-sales initiatives
  • Prepare online sales management information report in Hong Kong and ASP as well as monitor the sales result against plan, recommend remedial actions if necessary
  • Assist to implement customer satisfaction research to gauge customer feedback on online experience and take improvement actions
  • Support the preparation of marketing plan to promote the sales of CMB products online
  • Implement search engine marketing initiatives and 3rd party portal marketing and assist to provide input and guidance to product and marketing teams
  • Work with ASP countries to share and drive online sales initiatives

Requirements

  • University degree with at least three years' general banking experience
  • Experience in implementation of online sales and internet business initiatives
  • Proficient in HTML, XML, Java Script. Knowledge of Photoshop and Webtrend will be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written English
