Our graduate programmes welcome both local and international graduates to apply, application requirement depends on individual business needs. All programmes are offered in Hong Kong local employment terms.
We will consider fresh graduates who will be graduating this year as well as recent graduates who have up to three years' working experience, except FIN who accept recent graduates with up to 6 months' working experience.
Each programme is designed to develop future leaders of our business with career potential up to senior management.
The programmes feature a careful combination of classroom training and on-the-job coaching and experience, with exposure to real jobs in which you will be expected to make a serious contribution.
Programmes provide a series of attachments to various areas within a business stream to provide an all round exposure and understanding of that business.
As a trainee, you will attend overseas training in the form of Group Graduate Development Programme at our training facilities in the UK and/or Regional Graduate Development Programme in Asia-Pacific. During this time, which is often regarded as a real highlight, you will be able to network with peers from around the world as we familiarise you with the HSBC Group and teach you cutting-edge management techniques.
There are a variety of graduate programmes available in different areas of our business: Commercial Banking, Credit Risk Management, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations and Processing and Personal Financial Services. You can choose which programme you want to apply for but there is the chance to change during the recruitment process.
Every trainee has a senior manager who acts as a mentor, providing advice, support and guidance throughout the duration of the programme.
