MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE PROGRAMME
CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT

Our 26-month Credit Risk Management - Management Associate Programme (CRM MAP) has three distinct phases that consist of a variety of projects and assignments. These assignments, which may range from three to nine months in duration, will provide you with real working experience in the following core functions: Risk Identification, Approval, Recovery, Credit Policy, Risk Management and Reporting. The programme is also supported by training, briefings from line managers, and local and overseas attachment opportunities.

Preparation for Online Application and Screening Process

The application process is divided into three key parts:

Application Form

To successfully complete the online application form, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Personal details
  • Educational history, including names of secondary schools and graduate, post graduate colleges/universities attended
  • A description of your extra curricular activities and interests
  • Your personal qualities and achievements
  • Any permanent or temporary work experience
  • Computer skills and other achievements/awards
  • Language capabilities
  • Relatives working for HSBC

Self-Description Questionnaire

You will not need any specific information to complete the self description questionnaire. You will be asked to choose among three alternative answers for each of the 50 questions. Please allow approximately 20 minutes to complete this questionnaire.


Once you have submitted your completed on-line application and self-description questionnaire, your application will be screened against our selection criteria. On submission, you should immediately receive a response message to confirm successful receipt of your application. If you do not receive this, you need to re-submit your application. Upon receiving the confirmation message, you will not need to make any other enquiry to check that your application has been received. Only successful applicants will be contacted by email to be advised of the next phase of the recruitment process. Short- listed applicants will go forward to a standard testing and assessment process, which will include briefings from line managers to determine your career stream.
